About DCNEWSNOW:

On May 25, 2022, Nexstar made an announcement. They said they would bring together WDVM-TV and WDCW at WDCW’s Washington location. They had rented extra office space there the previous year, about 29,000 square feet. They also planned to move WDVM-TV’s news production to that place. They decided to call this combined news service DC News Now.

The new DC News Now would keep WDVM-TV’s regional news broadcasts as they were. They would also have news bureaus in Hagerstown, Frederick, Maryland, and Chantilly, Virginia. As part of this expansion, they would start a new news show at 10 p.m. on WDCW.

DC News Now started on July 11, 2022, on both stations.
